About the Role
As a Team Leader within the Residential Property Tribunal at HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), you will play a critical role in delivering justice by leading your team to provide excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary, and management. You will ensure your team is prioritised, organised, and fully skilled to meet objectives while fostering a positive and motivated working environment.
The First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) handles disputes relating to property and land, including rent increases, leasehold disputes, land registration issues, and agricultural land matters. The Chamber operates across multiple regional centres, with London managing Residential Property and Land Registration cases.
This is an exciting time to join as the Chamber prepares for significant legislative changes, including the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024 and the Renters’ Rights Bill. Your leadership will be key to navigating these changes and supporting continuous improvement in operational performance.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to operational, performance, and service standard targets, providing statistical data, monitoring and analysing performance trends, reviewing procedures, and recommending improvements. You will also support the implementation of new initiatives and legislation.
HMCTS is committed to developing your leadership skills through a comprehensive leadership offer, including development programmes and accessible resources to build your confidence and ability to lead, guide, and inspire others.
