About the Role
Join Synnovis, the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company, as a Team Manager in our essential services laboratories. In partnership with Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, and Princess Royal University Hospital, we are committed to setting the standard for the future of pathology. As a Team Manager, you will provide support and guidance to the specimen reception teams within Blood Sciences (BSL), ensuring the successful delivery of a first-class service to our patients. This role may require out-of-hours shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Experience
Essential: Supervising, training or inducting junior employees; working as part of a team; working in a busy environment; working accurately with attention to detail.
Desirable: Supporting rota management, recruitment and selection; handling biological specimens; working with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
About you
You possess excellent time management skills and the ability to manage your workload alongside that of your team members. Flexibility, strong communication and IT skills, and the ability to adapt under pressure are essential. A positive professional attitude and a commitment to improving pre and post-analytical processes are key.
Qualifications
Essential: Good all-round education to GCSE standard including English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent or L2 Healthcare Science apprenticeship.
Desirable: Willingness to attend relevant courses and undertake training as required, such as Management qualification or relevant degree; A Levels or Level 3/4 vocational qualification, City & Guilds or L4 Healthcare Science Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
