Salary
Up to £57,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance.
About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join Thames Water permanently. The successful applicant will have a significant impact on the successful operation at the North East London Water Production sites. You will lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians, coaching them and ensuring their activities are integrated within the day-to-day operations of the sites. Together, you will be responsible for delivering the proactive and reactive maintenance plan for 5 Water Treatment Works, Water Booster Stations, and Service Reservoirs that form part of the North East Transmission system. Your impact will be immediate, contributing to better operation and management of our processes on site in the context of asset standards, health and safety improvements, and enhanced capacity for front-line process checks and maintenance activities.
Experience
Demonstrable Mechanical and Electrical maintenance management experience with strong skills in operation and engineering is essential. Previous experience in a process-related industry is essential, and experience in the water industry is desirable. Previous experience in managing operational staff is required.

You should appreciate the importance of employee engagement and team structure in enabling performance. Since coaching is a significant aspect of this role, being a good listener and communicator is vital. You must also be adaptable to individual needs and possess a strong focus on health and safety.
Qualifications
A degree level or equivalent, preferably with an Engineering/Science background, is desirable. An ability to prioritise and organise workload is required, with an expectation to consider operational strategy beyond just day-to-day tasks.
