An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Merton’s newly formed Public Realm directorate as the Waste and Street Cleansing Policy and Project Manager.
The role will lead on a range of projects in collaboration with key stakeholders aimed at waste minimisation, diverting waste higher up the waste hierarchy and supporting the circular economy.
You will possess effective communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will be experienced in project planning, risk management, reporting and securing funding.
You will also be involved in supporting the delivery of key front-line services through a period of transition, whilst we mobilise a new recycling and waste collections contract and bring the street cleansing service in-house.
