About the Role
Join Lambeth Council at an exciting time as we deliver bold ambitions for our communities through the Lambeth 2030 Plan and the transformational One Lambeth Programme. We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative Welfare Benefits Adviser to join our well-established Welfare Rights Team, ‘Every Pound Counts@’. This role focuses on providing benefit advice to ill and disabled vulnerable adults who are unable to access benefits services in the community.

As part of a busy team, you will conduct benefit checks and assist clients through all stages of the benefit process. The role requires expert knowledge of welfare benefits combined with an empathetic and patient approach, as many clients have serious health issues and often require home visits. Partnership working is a key element, as most referrals come from statutory services.

This position operates on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
