United Colleges Group (UCG) provides education to over 11,000 learners annually across five campuses and two colleges: City of Westminster College and College of North West London. Due to an increase in English teaching hours, the Faculty of English, Mathematics and Skills is recruiting multiple qualified and experienced Lecturers in English. This role involves inspiring students from diverse backgrounds to develop their English skills, supporting their progression to work and higher education opportunities.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to delivering a unique, enjoyable, and rewarding learning experience that meets individual learner needs and aspirations.
Experience
Prior experience teaching and assessing GCSE and Functional Skills English qualifications is essential. Familiarity with the new Education Inspection Framework is also required.

Excellent communication, administration, and interpersonal skills are essential. A commitment to supporting learners and working effectively as part of a team is expected.
Qualifications
A degree (or equivalent) in English or a related subject is required. You must hold a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.
