Hours
14 hours per week: Thursdays and Fridays 8.00am - 3.30pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break). Office hours 8.00am - 12.15pm and 1.45pm - 3.30pm (12 hours per week). Midday Supervisor (MDS) duty 12.15pm - 1.15pm (2 hours per week). 38 weeks per year.

£28,617 - £29,436 (full time equivalent)

About the Role
We are seeking an Admin Assistant to work in our school office reception and undertake Midday Supervisor duties. The office role is often the first point of contact for visitors, requiring exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers. You will communicate effectively in person, by telephone and email, handle queries regarding the online dinner system (ParentPay) and run reports (training provided). You will administer First Aid if necessary (training provided) and complete relevant documentation via Medical Tracker.
Responsibilities include receipt, sorting and distribution of incoming messages, post and deliveries, and managing outgoing mail and packages. You will support the school with event arrangements, including educational trips, and use computerised management information systems and paper-based filing to enter, record and retrieve data.
As part of the Midday Supervisor role, you will manage pupil transitions from class to dining hall or playground and back, supervise and support pupils during lunch, promote positive play and relationships, ensure health, safety and security, provide basic first aid after training, and assist with pupil discipline and behaviour management.
This is a permanent position starting September 2026.
Experience
Previous experience working within a school in a similar capacity is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
