About the Role
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry across the United Kingdom. As an independent arm’s length body of the Home Office, the SIA protects the public by ensuring private security operatives are fit, properly trained, and qualified. The SIA also manages a voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme to raise standards across the sector.
We are seeking an Admin Support Officer to join the Inspections and Enforcement directorate. This role is ideal for someone interested in operational or back-office support, or currently working in this area and looking to take the next step. You will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support to help drive continuous improvement, effectiveness, and efficiency in service delivery, quality, and standards.
Your responsibilities will include supporting event and project planning, research, general enquiries, and day-to-day coordination of correspondence. You will attend meetings, including offsite, take notes, and circulate documentation. You will assist the Criminal Enforcement Team with scheduling disclosure of prosecution evidence, maintain and update records on various databases, support the Tactical Tasking & Coordination Group, and administer contact with witnesses in prosecution cases. Diary management, including travel and accommodation arrangements, and other reasonable ad-hoc duties will also be part of your role.
Experience
Proven ability to develop and maintain efficient administrative processes and experience in quality management.
Experience working in a busy office environment using a range of information systems.
High level of computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
