About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic qualified and registered Advanced Social Workers to join our Older People Locality Team based in Croydon. This dynamic and vibrant service supports people aged 65 and above. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, committed to best practice and positive outcomes through a strength-based approach and co-production with service users.

As an Advanced Social Worker, you will manage a range of cases, supporting residents and their families through assessments and reviews. You will supervise team members, provide support, deputise in the absence of the team manager, and share your knowledge and skills.

The role involves working with people who have complex needs and additional challenges. Responsibilities include undertaking reviews, completing carers and adult needs assessments, covering duty, conducting safeguarding triages, attending multi-agency meetings, and court hearings. You will work within an integrated service to promote independence and support people to remain living in their own homes.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience following completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). Experience in supervision, managing complex cases, and additional training such as PEP, BIA, or AMHP is desirable. We recognise exceptions and encourage candidates to discuss their circumstances.

Committed and knowledgeable social worker with a passion for empowering and supporting people. You will demonstrate professionalism, creativity, and drive in person-centred practice and problem solving. Ability to work flexibly in a rapidly changing public service environment is essential. You must be a car driver with a full British driving licence and access to a car.

Qualifications
Qualified and registered Advanced Social Worker with relevant post-qualification experience. Additional specialist training or qualifications are advantageous.
