About the Role
Nomura is a global financial services group connecting markets East and West, servicing individuals, institutions, corporates, and governments through its four business divisions. The Global Execution Services technology division within Wholesale IT provides brokerage services solutions to clients in over 65 markets worldwide. This includes advanced electronic trading strategies, high-touch trading, commission management, desktop trading platforms, and insightful analytics.
As an Algo Developer, you will work on Nomura’s proprietary algorithmic trading systems that handle a significant portion of client order flow globally. These mission-critical systems support a diverse range of trading styles and goals with event-driven, multi-asset trading strategies and a library of component tactics and controls. You will collaborate closely with Quant teams to bring new strategies to market and continuously evolve the algorithmic portfolio.
The role requires delivering new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, participating in the full project lifecycle from technical analysis to testing, and occasionally providing level 2 and 3 support for front-office applications. You will ensure compliance with functional architecture and development standards, liaise with business and development teams on priorities and progress, and may assist in managing projects for new system implementations or upgrades.
