About the Role
Alpha International is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insight to help the organisation fulfil its mission effectively and sustainably. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting; supporting the production of management accounts, forecasts, annual budgets, and financial reporting; maintaining strong financial controls including compliance, governance, payroll reviews, supplier approvals, and regulatory reporting; assisting with year-end accounts preparation, audit requirements, and Charity Commission reporting; partnering with budget holders and the Giving Team to provide financial guidance, analysis, and support; and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Experience
Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent). Proven experience working in a finance or accounting environment. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
