About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Apprentice Drylining Labourer to join a construction team working on-site in Walthamstow.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the construction and drylining industry. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining practical experience while developing your skills on live construction projects.

No extensive previous experience is required, but you must have a strong interest in construction, a positive attitude towards work and a willingness to learn.

This role is supported through the Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA), a fully funded programme helping people access employment opportunities that contribute to a greener economy. The programme supports candidates into roles across sustainability, energy efficiency, retrofit, environmental services and green construction.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting experienced dryliners with day-to-day construction activities
- Preparing work areas and materials for drylining works
- Loading, unloading and safely moving plasterboard, insulation and other materials
- Assisting with measuring, cutting and positioning materials under supervision
- Supporting the installation of plasterboard and drylining systems as your skills develop
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and free from hazards
- Using hand tools safely and correctly following training
- Following instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople
- Attending site inductions, toolbox talks and training sessions
- Following RAMS, PPE requirements and all site Health & Safety procedures
- Assisting other members of the construction team where required
- Taking responsibility for learning and developing your construction skills
