About the Role
Would you like to build a career in IT Asset Management, learning how technology assets are managed throughout their lifecycle while supporting services that make a real difference to people's lives? Join the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Digital and become part of a highly motivated team that supports the reliability of critical digital services used by millions every day. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, combining hands-on experience with a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification.

As an Apprentice IT Asset Manager, you will develop practical skills and knowledge by applying what you learn directly within your role. You will learn and follow established IT Asset Management processes, procedures, and controls for managing software and hardware assets. Your responsibilities will include supporting the management of software publishers, maintaining asset information using industry-standard tools, carrying out routine maintenance to ensure data accuracy, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT Asset Management services.

You will receive dedicated off-the-job training time within your working hours to complete your apprenticeship studies, supported by your line manager, skills coach, fellow apprentices, and the wider Digital and Transformation Directorate. Occasional travel to other DWP Digital hubs may be required.

The apprenticeship is expected to take up to 15 months to complete, with a full learning journey lasting up to 18 months. Commitment to completing the qualification within this timeframe is essential.
