About the Role
Lambeth Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced full-time Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Lambeth Centralised AMHP Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant and diverse borough committed to equity and justice. The role involves undertaking all statutory responsibilities as an AMHP under the Mental Health Act, contributing to the transformation of mental health services through the Living Well Network Alliance – a partnership between Certitude, Thames Reach, Lambeth Council, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Lambeth NHS Clinical Commissioning Group. The Alliance aims to enable every citizen to flourish, contribute to society, and lead the life they want to lead.
Successful candidates will receive a Welcome Payment of £1,000, a Market Supplement of £1,000, and an AMHP Retention Allowance of £3,000 per annum after six months of service. Experience
Applicants must be fully qualified Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) with relevant regulatory body registration. Current experience working as an AMHP is preferred. Candidates should be confident in undertaking all statutory AMHP responsibilities as set out under the Mental Health Act.
