About this role… The Area Director role is responsible for the direction, operations, quality and outcomes of a group of Thames Reach service areas, and for business development activities to secure new services. As a member of the Leadership Team the Area Director will shares responsibility for the strategic direction of the organisation, and a member of the operational management will enable Thames Reach to achieve the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery. We are looking for an Area Director to join the Leadership team. You will be responsible for: The direction, operations, quality and outcomes of a group of Thames Reach services including street outreach and accommodation services. Work to securing new business for the organisation, through both competitive tendering and co-production of new services with a range of commissioners. Supporting the objectives of Thames Reach through skilled leadership within complex and fluid operating environment, negotiating and influencing local authorities and other commissioners. To succeed as Area Director you will have: Have a proven ability to lead, manage and motivate managerial staff, including periods of significant change to services. An understanding of homelessness services and strategy, accommodation and street outreach services and the environment in which these are delivered. Experience of managing and overseeing services in the not for profit sector, including direct experience of project development, funding bids, contract tenders and negotiations.
