About the Role
Operations is the beating heart of Amazon, ensuring orders are fulfilled and dispatched efficiently so customers receive their items on time. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team to maintain safety, efficiency, and high-quality operations at your site. You will oversee projects to drive productivity and streamline processes across the network.

Your responsibilities will include creating and promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing, analysing shift performance against business objectives, and implementing actions to improve operational excellence. You will work collaboratively with management colleagues to standardise shift practices and ensure consistent quality and productivity.

A typical day involves prioritising team management and daily operational tasks, handling individual escalations, driving process improvements, and planning for operational contingencies to meet customer demand effectively.

Experience
- Relevant experience in people management
- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including peers and leadership
- Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions

About you
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive a culture of safety and operational excellence
- Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language

Qualifications
- A degree is required
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques is advantageous
- Experience working in logistics environments is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
