The school has historical links to RAF Hornchurch and was named after the engineer who designed the iconic Spitfire aeroplane. The school is also part of the Aspire Learning Federation and as a result works in close partnership with its ‘sister’ school Elm Park Primary. Who Are We Looking For? Key Responsibilities: Communicate the school's vision compellingly and support the Executive Headteacher's/Head of School's strategic leadership Secure highly effective teaching and learning at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Engage deeply with staff to enhance reflective practice through an extensive programme of Teaching and Learning CPD Ensure that language in all its forms is at the forefront of the school improvement agenda, driving achievement, progress and outcomes Contribute to the day-to-day management of the school Formulate the aims and objectives of the school, and establish policies to achieve these Manage staff and resources effectively to meet the school's goals Monitor progress towards meeting the school's aims and objectives Why Join R J Mitchell Primary School?
