About the Role
As Assistant Makeup Artist to Sofia Tilbury, you will be by Sofia’s side to ensure she is camera ready and set to perform at her best across all externally facing activities including shoots, VIP and celebrity red carpets, on/offline appearances, events, media and marketing activities, lives, masterclasses, and content creation. You will be the dedicated makeup artist, assistant, and skin/beauty expert for Sofia, managing her beauty kit, skin preparation, and makeup application. You will work closely with Sofia’s team to manage preparation, planning, timings, and anticipate any ad hoc requirements to ensure flawless execution.

Beyond beauty preparation, you will support operational aspects to ensure every activity runs smoothly. You will develop your appreciation for Sofia’s creative content capture and assist with art direction and editing under the guidance of Sofia Tilbury and the Director of Art. You will be a true brand advocate, demonstrating tenacity, agility, digital fluency (especially social media), and strong organizational skills.

Your responsibilities include maintaining Sofia’s full kit, props, products, lighting, camera angles, and elements of art direction and editing support. You will build key relationships within the production team to prepare for upcoming activities and communicate creative insights and best practices through the Artistry team. You will ensure all objectives and tasks are completed on time and support content and product information submissions.

You will glean creative insight from Sofia and communicate regularly across relevant business areas to support development opportunities. You will inspire and mobilize Pro talent by sharing feedback from Sofia to drive consistency globally and foster a positive, ambitious team spirit. You will assist Sofia during New Product Development phases and collaborate with the Global Makeup Assistant to maintain and manage Sofia’s beauty kit, ensuring all brushes and tools are clean and products are stocked.

You will accompany Sofia on trips, on set, and assist with VIPs when required. You will manage Sofia Tilbury’s archive and stay up to date with current trending products and market developments. In Sofia’s absence, you may support the Global Pro artist team by collaborating with Product Development, Marketing, and Creative teams on product research, development, and artistry testing. You will propose initiatives to support artistry progression and create content for your own and Charlotte’s channels.

Additionally, you will support all Global Pro kits to ensure event readiness and assist with VIP appointments inside and outside of territory.

Experience
Exceptionally talented makeup artist and skin/beauty expert with experience working with high-profile individuals and celebrities. Creative content experience and strong social media skills, especially with TikTok and Instagram trends, are desirable.
