About the Role
THE·TEAM operates at the epicenter of sports, music and entertainment, serving talent, brands and properties on a global scale. Headquartered in Los Angeles, THE·TEAM's presence spans 28 countries and more than 70 cities worldwide. This role supports the Finance Manager and wider Talent team within Team Sports, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close, and management accounting activities across multiple sports divisions.

Key responsibilities include completion of month-end close and reconciliation processes (P&L and Balance Sheet), preparation of revenue and billing schedules, departmental P&Ls, cost summaries, and other key reporting schedules. You will prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and post payroll, accrual, and re-class journals. Additionally, you will contribute to monthly management packs by providing clear financial insights, variance analysis, and actionable commentary to support business decisions.

You will support the annual budget and monthly reforecast cycles by providing accurate financial information across six different Team Sports. Maintaining and strengthening financial controls and escalating issues appropriately is essential.

In addition, this role involves athlete liaison and master file management, ensuring accurate recognition and capturing of team contracts, sponsorship deals, bonuses, appearance fees, and associated invoicing timelines and revenue recognition. You will manage invoicing, accounts payable, and payment processing, including preparation of billing schedules, onboarding customers, supporting collections, and managing the weekly payment run process.

Audit and tax compliance responsibilities include managing the external audit process, liaising with auditors, supporting sample requests, ensuring accurate and compliant annual accounts, and submitting quarterly VAT returns on time.

Finally, you will provide stakeholder support by responding to ad hoc requests, supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director, and participating in monthly review meetings and finance-related projects as required.
