About the Role
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are seeking a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Leo Legal team. This role involves close collaboration with business leaders and requires developing creative, business-centric legal strategies that balance risk with flexibility to enable rapid business movement. The successful candidate will be embedded with the Leo teams, supporting various legal needs and building processes that address risk while allowing operational freedom. This position may require access to export-controlled information subject to EAR and ITAR regulations, with employment contingent upon satisfactory export control screenings and obtaining necessary licenses or approvals. Some domestic and international travel will be required. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about technology, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to demonstrate sound judgment in complex situations.

Experience
- Licensed to practice law in Europe, US, or another common law jurisdiction
- At least two years of post-qualification legal experience
- Experience in legal work involving commercial agreements
- Preferred experience includes a mix of corporate law firm and in-house roles
- Experience advising senior executives and working independently with legal and business partners

Enthusiastic about technology, able to handle challenging and ambiguous situations with sound judgment, proactive in developing legal strategies that support business goals, and comfortable working collaboratively across teams.

Qualifications
A qualified lawyer with a license to practice in a recognized common law jurisdiction and a minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
