About the Role
Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network, dedicated to delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and communities beyond the reach of existing networks. Join Amazon Leo's Legal team and help navigate the complex and evolving legal landscape of satellite technology and regulatory licensing challenges across EMEA. This role involves some domestic and international travel, but no space travel is required at this time.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of international licensing and regulatory matters critical to Amazon Leo's operations. You will identify, research, and analyze complex legal issues related to satellite technology and regulatory licensing, providing strategic counsel to business and technical teams. Collaborating closely with technical, regulatory, and business stakeholders, you will assess legal implications of new initiatives and advise on risk mitigation strategies.

You will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives and provide proactive legal guidance. Supporting senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help evaluate business-critical decisions and implement legal solutions, particularly in telecommunications law, spectrum licensing, and international regulatory matters.

As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you will engage with novel legal questions spanning satellite technology, regulatory licensing, and international operations across EMEA. Your work will have significant visibility and impact, influencing how Amazon Leo brings internet connectivity to communities worldwide. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across legal, regulatory, business, and technical functions.

Experience
Licensed to practice law in Europe, the US, or another common law jurisdiction with outstanding academic qualifications. Minimum of 3 years post-qualification legal experience at a law firm or in-house counsel role. Experience advising senior executives or organizational leadership on legal and strategic matters, including negotiation and execution of commercial contracts. Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams. Background in technology law, telecommunications law, regulatory matters, or international business matters is highly desirable. Experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments with evolving legal landscapes.

Qualifications
