About the Role
Join Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm, as an Associate Engineer within the Finance & People Technology team. This role offers the opportunity to work at one of the largest alternative asset managers where technology is central to business strategy and innovation is embraced. Reporting to the Finance & People Technology Lead, you will support the engineering, operation, and continuous improvement of the SaaS estate underpinning both Finance and People/HR domains.

The core platform is Enterprise Management Cloud, integrated with a broad ecosystem of best-in-class SaaS tools including talent acquisition systems, CultureAmp (employee experience), Kyriba (treasury), FloQast (financial close), and Workato (integration & automation). You will work across these platforms, understanding data flows and improving the overall ecosystem as a versatile engineer rather than a single-product specialist.

Key responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting platforms; owning BAU and support tasks; building and improving integrations; monitoring and resolving integration errors with durable fixes; delivering process and configuration improvements; and leveraging AI tools such as Claude Code and Man Group's in-house AI to automate and prototype solutions. You will also implement best practices for scalability, maintainability, and performance while maintaining rigorous change-control and audit documentation.

Experience
Some professional working experience is required, such as internships, placement years, graduate schemes, or 1–2 years in technology, engineering, business analysis, HRIS, or finance-systems roles. This is not an entry-level position. Exposure to enterprise SaaS platforms is essential. Experience with Workato, Kyriba, CultureAmp, FloQast, or similar tools is advantageous but not mandatory. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems is highly valued.

About you
You should be comfortable working across multiple SaaS platforms simultaneously, with strong aptitude for hands-on system configuration and disciplined change-control practices. A foundational understanding of integrations (APIs, file-based interfaces, middleware/iPaaS like Workato) and data flows between systems is important. You will have a track record of building simple automations or apps and be eager to master agentic AI coding tools like Claude Code. Enthusiasm for using AI as a daily engineering tool is expected.

A curious, builder mindset with a focus on prototyping, automating, and problem-solving is essential. You should approach BAU support and troubleshooting methodically, prioritizing root-cause fixes over workarounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
