About the Role

Our Equity Trading team is a vibrant, diverse, and high-performing group responsible for trading BlackRock's equity and equity derivative orders. The team is a market leader, handling substantial volumes of cash equities, swaps, ETFs, futures, options, and other listed and OTC derivatives. Working closely with investment teams across index, quantitative, and fundamental strategies, the desk also manages core partnerships with the broker community.

As an Associate, Equity Trader, you will execute equity orders across multiple strategies, understanding the full trading lifecycle and concepts of index and quantitative trading. You will formulate and build trading strategies considering benchmarks, liquidity demands, risk, and cost. The role involves proactively evolving and innovating trading processes to enhance efficiency, automation, reduce cost, and mitigate risk. You will leverage data analytics, coding skills, and technical expertise to impact trading processes and execution, contribute to market-leading trading and data platforms including Aladdin, and build strong relationships with brokers. Staying informed about market events and trends, you will actively share insights with the investment and trading community while operating within a highly collaborative and supportive team culture.

Experience
2-6 years of trading experience with a strong understanding of equity markets.

Qualifications
- Degree education along with relevant certifications or qualifications.
- Technical proficiency in data analytics and confident in coding and use of AI.
- Knowledge of Python, JAVA, and SQL is an advantage.
- Experience with trading platforms is preferred.
