Full-time with a flexible and non-traditional work schedule. Evening and weekend availability required to support leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations.
Salary
$48,936.25 - $72,987.32 per year (salary exempt). Compensation within this range varies based on market conditions, cost of living, skills, experience, and capabilities.
About the Role
Team Rubicon is seeking an Associate, Operations to join the Programs x Domestic Operations - East Branch team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. The Associate will build and maintain relationships with community partners in emergency management, VOAD, and local disaster assistance organizations across New England. Key responsibilities include supporting disaster response coordination, executing organizational strategies, and overseeing volunteer management to enhance Team Rubicon’s rapid and local disaster response capabilities.
General duties include executing strategy to improve disaster response, developing relationships with disaster assistance organizations at state, county, and city levels, supporting the leadership lifecycle of Greyshirt volunteer leaders, managing purchasing and expenses according to the branch budget, and approving events.
Emergency Operations Support duties involve serving as a key member of the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) during disasters, assuming designated roles within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and participating in activation, operation, and deactivation of the EOC to ensure effective response coordination.
Disaster Response Coordination duties include providing direct support in coordinating response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies, assisting in developing and implementing disaster response strategies, and facilitating communication between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders.
This position reports to the Manager, Operations (East Branch) and requires reliable local transportation with at least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities within the assigned territory.
Experience
1-3 years of relevant professional experience in military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields. Proven personnel management experience including recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers. Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.
Proficiency with technology tools and experience working remotely to communicate and coordinate with a large network of staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
