About the Role
We are partnering with a leading London professional services firm seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to modernise, secure, and standardise their core cloud environment. This hands-on role focuses on foundational Azure setup, PaaS databases, serverless architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and establishing self-service infrastructure blueprints for internal development teams. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining Azure Functions, App Services, and serverless tools; automating resource deployment using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates; managing Azure SQL databases and securing keys in Key Vault; addressing security risks; and setting up Azure Monitor to track system health while creating easy deployment templates for the team.

Experience
- Strong experience with Azure PaaS, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep
- Proficient scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI
- Experience managing Azure SQL databases
- Solid knowledge of Entra ID, cloud networking, and certificate management
- Proven ability to write clear documentation including guides, runbooks, and handover notes

- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills

Qualifications
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-50 are desirable
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions is a plus
- Knowledge of Docker, AKS, Power Platform, or FinOps is advantageous
