We are seeking an exceptional Backbone Network Developer to join our Backbone Network Development organization. In this role, you will help architect and scale one of the world's most sophisticated networks, driving innovation in network scaling while maintaining AWS's operational excellence. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of global network infrastructure and solve complex challenges at unprecedented scale.

As a key member of the team, you will leverage your technical expertise and commercial acumen to develop creative solutions supporting Amazon's worldwide growth and expansion. You will collaborate with diverse teams including software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver high standards of safety, security, and cost efficiency.

This position is critical to Amazon's global infrastructure and connectivity strategy, supporting the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure to keep the cloud running smoothly.

Experience
- Experience related to spectrum management, securing licenses for telecommunications services, and ensuring regulatory compliance internationally
- Experience managing procurement teams with direct supplier and supply chain management
- Proven ability to solve complex business challenges through accurate financial modeling, analysis, and recommendations impacting business outcomes
- Experience working in network planning, construction/implementation, or commercial roles at ISPs, telecom operators, or hyperscalers is preferred
- Experience in strategic marketing management, market analysis, and executing strategies aligned with business objectives is preferred
- Familiarity with network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP, Linux, and strong analytical and communication skills is advantageous

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Ability to manage risk assessment, escalations, and technical constraint resolution
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication abilities
