About the Role
As a member of the Bank Staff team at Banana Moon Day Nurseries, you will provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years. You will support their development in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. Your role will involve covering staff absences, holiday leave or increased ratios to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. You will work alongside permanent staff to maintain a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes children’s emotional and physical wellbeing.

Experience
Experience working with children aged 0–5 years is desirable but not essential. Ability to support the daily running of the nursery room in accordance with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) is required.

- Caring and patient with a genuine interest in early years education
- Able to supervise and interact with children during play, mealtimes and rest periods
- Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Able to assist in setting up activities and tidying away afterwards
- Knowledgeable and compliant with nursery safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies
- Effective communicator with children, parents and staff
- Responsive to children’s individual needs and supportive of their emotional and physical wellbeing

Qualifications
Relevant childcare qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a nurturing nursery environment are essential.
