Salary
£27,118 (£14.06 per hour) progressing to £29,831 (£15.46 per hour)*
*Salary inclusive of enhancement for working 20% of time at the weekend. Sleep In allowances are paid at £43.12 per night. Opportunities to work additional hours across the Service.

As a Bank Support Worker, you will be part of a valued team supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental ill health in supported living and short breaks services. Support needs vary from high levels of assistance 24/7 to help with day-to-day tasks, tailored to each individual’s needs.
Your duties will include supporting people in their own homes with meeting basic daily needs and achieving their goals, personal hygiene, eating and drinking, keeping their homes clean, managing money, taking medication, attending health appointments, and joining in social and leisure activities both at home and outside.
In short breaks services, you will help people enjoy their time away from home while their carers have a well-deserved break.
Mandatory training includes completion of the Care Certificate Mandatory Training Programme within your probationary period, consisting of 8 consecutive training days over two weeks, with both face-to-face and online sessions. Ongoing mandatory and refresher training is required during employment, with paid attendance.
Experience
No previous experience or qualifications are required. Full induction and training will be provided to support you in the role.
About you
You must be physically able to support people, including using moving and handling equipment assessed for each person’s needs. Many people supported may require assistance with personal care and mobility. You should have the right values, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work various shifts and a commitment to regular hours is essential.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are necessary. Completion of mandatory training, including the Care Certificate, is required within the probationary period to remain eligible for shifts.
