About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Greenwich? The Early Years Inclusion Service is expanding following new government initiatives, creating multiple new roles to enhance support for early years practitioners and children with additional needs across Royal Greenwich.

As a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner, you will work within SEND Outreach Services at Discovery School, supporting a designated cluster of private, voluntary, and independent early years settings and child-minders. Your role will focus on early identification of children with SEND, providing indirect support through consultation, collaborative planning with parents/carers, early years practitioners, and other professionals.

You will work alongside team members to deliver SEN training through the Special Needs training programme and provide dedicated SEND capacity across family hubs. This role strengthens early help and preventative support, supports workforce development across early years settings, and improves outcomes for children with emerging and identified SEND.

The Early Years Inclusion Service includes Early Years Area SENCo’s, SEND Early Years (0-3 years) Keyworkers, and other professionals offering a supportive role. Experience
Extensive experience working within Early Years settings with a clear understanding of child development and supporting children and families with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Committed to inclusive practice and able to work collaboratively with parents, carers, early years practitioners, and other professionals. You should be proactive in delivering training and support to enhance workforce development and improve outcomes for children with SEND.

Qualifications
