About the Role
An opportunity has arisen within the Disability & Home Improvement Team (DHIT), a multi-disciplinary team providing services to the homes of Greenwich residents across all tenures. The focus is on supporting older and vulnerable residents to live independently by adapting or improving their homes. This rewarding role is ideal for applicants committed to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable people, with an understanding of housing challenges faced by older people and those with disabilities, and a keen desire to develop the technical team.
The role requires a Building Surveyor to carry out the full range of building surveying tasks associated with identifying, specifying, and implementing building and adaptation works to residential properties. There are two positions available: one permanent full-time PO4 role and one full-time PO4 fixed-term contract for two years.
Experience
The successful candidate will have a broad and detailed working knowledge of home renovation and disability-related adaptations.

You will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of the housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities. You should have a keen desire to develop the technical team and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in building surveying or a related discipline are expected to support the technical requirements of the role.
