About the Role
Are you interested in a high-impact role with exposure to senior leaders? The EU Network Flow and Technologies (NFT) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II with strong analytical and technical skills to independently own end-to-end BI deliverables that drive performance measurement, innovation, and execution in network operations and fulfillment center flow management. Operating with minimal guidance, you will refine ambiguous business requirements into actionable specifications and drive loosely structured problems to resolution. You will own analytical datasets, data pipelines, and reporting assets used by NFT, Process Engineering, and EU Central Flow teams, partnering with Amazon Fulfillment Center Operations, Transportation Services, and data teams to optimize end-to-end network flows.

Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end BI solutions of moderate to high complexity, typically spanning multiple data sources and cross-functional stakeholders, with measurable impact on network performance, cost, or customer experience. You will translate ambiguous business questions into well-scoped analytical deliverables, recommend alternatives, and anticipate follow-on needs across NFT, PE, and EU Central Flow. You will design and build testable, maintainable, performant ETL pipelines, dimensional datasets, and reporting layers in Redshift, applying CI/CD practices to minimize technical debt.

You will make deliberate trade-offs across performance, scalability, cost, and dependencies, applying basic statistical methods to support intraweek capacity management, risk mitigation, and automation across EU fulfillment centers. Producing design and usage documentation such as architecture diagrams, runbooks, and wikis will support long-term ownership of the artifacts you build. You will contribute to team design discussions, scoping, and prioritization; support onboarding and knowledge sharing; and provide informal mentorship to junior team members.

A typical day involves reviewing network flow metrics across EU fulfillment centers, identifying capacity risks, partnering with operations teams to translate pain points into technical solutions, building ETL pipelines, refining dashboards, and automating manual processes. You will balance SQL/Python coding, stakeholder meetings, and data quality troubleshooting, presenting findings and collaborating with data engineers. During peak periods, you will respond to urgent requests while balancing long-term scalable solutions.

Beyond core responsibilities, you will influence the NFT tech roadmap, propose automation initiatives, and shape how the European network uses data for capacity decisions.

About the Team
The EU Network Flow and Technologies team optimizes end-to-end network operations across European fulfillment centers, partnering with operations to balance cost, service, and speed. The team manages intraweek capacity, performance, and labor across all volume flows, driving tech solutions and automation as trusted partners to local teams. Their focus spans network flow management through real-time signals, BI analytics and dashboards for fulfillment center operations, risk management tools to identify performance and capacity defects, and continuous automation innovation. They embrace data-driven evolution, refusing the status quo to deliver network execution excellence through iterative improvements and scalable solutions.
