About the Role
As a Business Manager in the UK Regional Public Sector (RPS) team at AWS, you will ensure sales leaders have the operational discipline, rhythm, and insight needed to deliver results aligned with organisational standards. Embedded within the RPS team, you will be responsible for maintaining cadence, governance, and quality to meet the expectations of UK, Germany and International Organisations Public Sector (UKGI PS). Working closely with the UKGI PS Business Manager, you will deliver against established frameworks, operating rhythms, and standards, ensuring your team's deliverables are timely, high quality, and aligned with worldwide Public Sector requirements.

This role is unique in that you will collaborate with Field Sales Operations to act as the operational engine of RPS, driving weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews that foster accountability and decision-making. You will turn data into actionable insights, contextualising information for leadership and ensuring every business review drives meaningful action. You will bring rigour without bureaucracy, maintaining governance while keeping processes lean and focused on impact.

You will solve complex operational challenges such as aligning RPS with organisation-wide priorities, preventing commitment drift, and implementing an effective cadence that balances execution with flexibility. You will also innovate by building new workflows and automations, including AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Typical responsibilities include delivering against the UKGI PS operating rhythm, ensuring RPS meets deadlines and standards; aligning RPS deliverables with UKGI PS Front Office requirements; implementing and iterating on organisation-wide frameworks; driving governance and accountability within the team; supporting the Operating Plan process; managing RPS budgets; introducing AI and automation to improve operations; coordinating team engagement events; and acting as the connective tissue to maintain alignment across RPS and wider UKGI PS stakeholders.

The role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, ranging from data analysis and framework implementation to event coordination and rapid response to senior leadership requests. Your work will directly enable the RPS team to support public sector customers across the UK in modernising public services, improving healthcare, and widening access to education.

Our team moves fast, embraces change, and values rigour and innovation equally. If you are passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement, this role will be a great fit.
