About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary Care Worker to provide excellence across our services. As a Care Worker, you will be part of the Extra Care Service within Provider Services, which delivers in-house community and home-based services to adults with disabilities and older people.
The Extra Care Service is a Care Quality Commission (CQC)-regulated service. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to vulnerable adults aged 55 and over, including those with learning disabilities, helping them live independently in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include supporting physical, social, and emotional needs, maintaining hygiene, documenting care standards, and escorting service users to activities, all while upholding dignity and confidentiality.
We are committed to creating a workplace where staff embody our “PROUD” values: Purpose and Respect, fostering belonging through inclusion, kindness, and open dialogue; Ownership, championing collaboration and accountability; and Unity and Diversity, working as one Council to break down silos and promote anti-racist behaviour.
Hackney Council is dedicated to eradicating discrimination on all grounds and welcomes applications from disabled people and those interested in flexible working. We value our staff as our most outstanding asset, committed to serving our residents and achieving the best outcomes.
