About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Extra Care Service within Hackney Council's Provider Services. As a Care Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to vulnerable adults aged 55 and over, including those with learning disabilities, supporting them to live independently in their own homes. The Extra Care Service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and focuses on meeting physical, social, and emotional needs. Your responsibilities will include maintaining hygiene, documenting care standards, escorting service users to activities, and upholding dignity and confidentiality at all times. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering in-house community and home-based services to adults with disabilities and older people.
Experience
Proven experience delivering high-quality care in health and social care settings is essential. Experience working within statutory legislation, safeguarding, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations is required.

You will be committed to promoting independence, equality, and culturally sensitive practice. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with service users, families, and colleagues. You must be able to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility to work shifts across a 7-day rota including bank holidays and weekends.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification is required. A good understanding of care planning, risk assessment, and IT systems is essential.
