Hours
Various hours across our teams, including 7 hour shifts starting between 6 and 7 in the morning and 2 and 3 in the afternoon. Rotas cover both early and late shifts and weekends (2 out of 4).
Salary
£26,556 - £28,764 per annum (pro rata to hours worked where part-time)
About the Role

We provide care and support for clients in their own homes or in our Care Home in Corringham via single or double handed calls, with services running 365 days a year. We are currently looking for Care Workers to join our Community Homecare team on permanent or casual contracts, and for Care Workers to support Extra Care Housing Complex in Grays or Collins House Care Home in Corringham on casual contracts. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required for community roles, with mileage paid at 45p per mile. We are especially keen to hear from applicants interested in supporting our Community Reablement Team between 15:00-23:00 hours on weekends on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will maintain a professional attitude and have or be willing to gain knowledge in Dementia, Challenging Behaviours and Manual Handling, with training provided.

Additional Information
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at Enhanced plus barred list level. The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination.
Experience
Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. Knowledge of Dementia, Challenging Behaviours and Manual Handling is advantageous.

Professional attitude at all times, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality care. Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours including early mornings, late afternoons, weekends and bank holidays. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for community roles.
