London – based at either Maida Vale or Willesden campuses.
Hours
Casual hours, flexible based on need.
Salary
Starting hourly rate of £13.85 plus £1.67 holiday pay. Rate dependent on experience.
About the Role

As a Casual Learning Support Assistant, you will support young adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in a Supported Learning environment. You will actively participate in activities alongside students and assist them during lessons. This includes supporting students with personal care needs and mobility challenges such as physical support on stairs, transfers from wheelchair to toilet, and use of hoists. The role requires patience, calmness under pressure, and a positive attitude towards students. You will provide excellent support to individuals and groups, including those on the autistic spectrum, with profound and complex needs, or challenging behaviours. Training and development opportunities in specialist practice will be provided. Experience
Experience working with young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities is desirable but not essential. Willingness to support personal care and mobility needs is required.

Ability to remain calm under pressure, patient, and maintain a positive attitude. Good communication skills with the ability to use clear language and listen effectively. Understanding of safeguarding procedures for young people and vulnerable adults. Commitment to providing excellent additional support to students with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required; however, a willingness to undertake training and develop specialist skills is essential.
