About the Role
The QEII Centre is the largest dedicated conference and exhibition space in Central London. We are seeking an experienced Catering Events Operations Manager to join our friendly and professional team. Reporting to the Head of Events, you will work alongside an experienced team of floor managers to oversee the successful delivery of corporate catering events and banqueting. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage daily event operations, ensure high standards of service, and maintain compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing the daily running of catering events, conducting on-the-job training, ensuring effective staff deployment, upholding uniform standards, prioritising allergy and dietary requirements, and promoting staff welfare. You will be the first point of contact for catering on event days, providing excellent customer service and striving to exceed client expectations. Your role will be vital in delivering seamless event experiences for up to 1,500 attendees while aligning with Levy Restaurants’ vision and values.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in running catering events and banqueting
Background in conference and event management
Experience managing events with up to 1,500 attendees
Strong leadership and team management skills

Customer-focused with a can-do attitude and commitment to exceeding client expectations
Ability to maintain high standards of service and compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in event or hospitality management are desirable but not essential
Willingness to learn and develop within the role
