About the Role
The Clearance Administrator will be part of Clifford Chance's Global Risk team, reporting ultimately to the firm's General Counsel. The Clearance Centre plays a central role in managing conflicts of interest, anti-money laundering, and associated compliance issues across the firm's global practice. This role offers varied opportunities for continuous growth and development through formal training, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job learning.
The Clearance Administration Team supports the firm globally and assists the conflicts and anti-money laundering teams. Responsibilities range from general administrative tasks to investigative analysis of Clearance systems.
Key duties include opening, amending, closing, re-opening, and transferring new matters and clients in the firm's global practice management system; assisting lawyers, secretaries, and others with client and matter opening processes and clearance queries; maintaining firm databases; generating, distributing, and analysing reports.
Day-to-day tasks involve searching, reviewing, entering, and maintaining information in Clearance Centre databases; managing clients and matters using the global practice management system; clearing specific matters and managing sensitivities on multiple Clearance systems; collaborating with team members to resolve clearance issues; providing administrative support for consent to deal in listed securities and maintaining related databases; grouping clients and matters; working with reports and spreadsheets related to the clearance process; and liaising with IT support to resolve technical queries.
Experience
Impeccable attention to detail with the ability to accurately input data. Previous experience working independently and as part of a small team. Experience in a corporate environment, preferably a law firm, is desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure. A self-starter with initiative and the ability to think outside the box to solve problems methodically and practically. Willingness to adapt to new processes and technology.
Qualifications
Excellent technical skills including proficiency with Windows-based PC software and database systems are essential. A commitment to continuous learning and development is expected.
