About the Role
PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income with deep expertise across public and private markets. We invest our clients’ capital across a range of fixed income and credit opportunities, leveraging decades of experience navigating complex debt markets. Our flexible capital base and strong issuer relationships have made us one of the world’s largest providers of traditional and nontraditional financing solutions and trusted advisors to investors seeking strong risk-adjusted returns. Since 1971, PIMCO has fostered a high-performance, inclusive culture that celebrates diverse thinking and invests in its people, guided by our CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility, and Excellence.

We are seeking a Solutions Strategist to join our Client Solutions & Analytics (CS&A) team in London. Founded in 2009 as one of the industry’s first dedicated “Solutions” groups, CS&A is a client-facing team partnering with a diverse range of clients across geographies and channels. The team delivers actionable investment insights through portfolio diagnostics, optimisations, asset-liability modelling, macro-aware perspectives, and cross-asset thought leadership. These insights support client discussions and inform strategic investment decisions through customised analysis and written research.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Account Management teams to engage directly with clients, understand their investment objectives, and design tailored solutions. You will leverage PIMCO’s investment management capabilities, technology, and intellectual capital to advise clients—including CIOs, CEOs, Boards, Investment teams, and consultants—on macro investment management issues such as asset allocation and risk management. A significant focus will be on designing investment solutions for institutional clients, particularly Defined Benefit pension schemes, incorporating liability-aware strategies such as LDI and CDI to align portfolios with liabilities, cashflow needs, and long-term objectives.

Additional responsibilities include becoming a trusted investment advisor, supporting business development initiatives, generating industry-leading thought leadership, and utilising AI-enabled tools to streamline processes and enhance the delivery of client analyses.

Requirements

Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment consulting, or banking. Preference for candidates with backgrounds in multi-asset or LDI strategies, portfolio management, asset manager solutions teams, or investment consultancies.

- Strong results orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Proactive, well-organised, high-energy self-starter who thrives in a team environment
- Ability to solve complex problems efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
