About the Role
As a Clinical Operations Specialist (Logistics & Supplies) at GSK, you will lead the coordination and delivery of specialised operational activities in compliance with ICH GCP, international and local regulations, and GSK standards. You will be a key member of the local clinical study team, contributing to the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical trials within the country. Your responsibilities will include managing clinical supplies and logistics to ensure timely and secure delivery of clinical trial materials, ancillary supplies, and devices to clinical sites. You will collaborate with suppliers, local depots, customs brokers, couriers, and internal teams, maintaining oversight of supply logistics including cold chain requirements. You may handle import/export documentation, vendor oversight, local purchasing, and act as business owner for local contracts and purchase orders related to clinical supplies.

You will also be accountable for vaccine IMP cold chain management, including training local sponsor roles and sites, managing shipment and storage conditions, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and study requirements. Acting as the in-country point of contact for clinical trial supply importation and logistics, you will implement process improvements and ensure timely delivery and reliability of supply.

Additional responsibilities include managing contracts and legal documents, collaborating with legal and procurement teams, coordinating institutional reports and archiving activities, providing administrative support to the local GMASE department, and leveraging AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to improve efficiency and data quality in clinical trial operations.

Requirements

Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in clinical operations or related pharmaceutical industry roles.
- Solid knowledge of ICH-GCP, local regulations, and regulatory processes.
- Experience with import/export documentation and cold chain management.
- Experience working with clinical supply/depot vendors and couriers.
- Excellent understanding of the external clinical trial environment, UK clinical trials regulations, and start-up processes.
- Flexible and responsive to new ideas in a changing environment.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in clinical operations or pharmaceutical industry.

- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional site visits.
