About the Role
Building on a strong track record of pioneering research, EMS Healthcare is collaborating with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, University of Cambridge, and the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Queen Mary University of London Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU) to deliver the BEST4 Screening Study. This ground-breaking clinical trial aims to evaluate the Capsule Sponge test for early detection of oesophageal cancer, potentially reducing mortality rates. The study will recruit 120,000 participants across approximately five UK regions using BEST4 mobile units.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will manage clinics on the BEST4 mobile units, administering the Capsule Sponge test and supporting clinical trial activities to ensure successful recruitment and delivery. You will work closely with clinical teams, researchers, research nurses, and administrators to facilitate recruitment, sample collection, data entry, and clinical support. The role requires travel to multiple sites and close liaison with the clinic coordinator to manage appointments and unit coverage.

You will collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Research Team, and Project Managers at QMUL, Cambridge, and EMS Healthcare to meet study objectives. Ensuring clinical and regulatory compliance and delivering a high standard of participant care throughout their study journey is a vital part of this role.

Experience
- Registered nurse with NMC registration.
- Continued professional development (CPD).
- Previous research experience or Upper GI clinical experience.
- Significant post-registration clinical experience.
- Experience in performing nurse-led clinics.
- Good understanding of clinical research.
- Experience with clinical trial data entry and adherence to ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Ability to drive and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
