About the Role
The Collections Care and Access Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the preservation and accessibility of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collections. This position involves coordinating activities related to the care, handling, and access of objects within the museum, ensuring that collections are maintained to the highest standards while facilitating research and public engagement. The role requires close collaboration with curatorial, conservation, and collections management teams to support exhibitions, loans, and public programs, while adhering to museum policies and best practices in collections care.
Experience
Previous experience in collections care, museum studies, or a related field is desirable. Experience working within a museum or cultural institution environment, particularly in collections management or conservation support, will be advantageous.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. A strong commitment to the preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage is essential. You are proactive, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in Museum Studies, Conservation, History of Art, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant professional training or certifications in collections care or conservation support will be considered an asset.
