About the Role
This role involves working directly with young people with learning difficulties, supporting them to develop essential employability skills and become work ready. You will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure interns have suitable placements and receive full support throughout their journey. The role requires applying the TSi Methodology appropriately within workplace learning environments and supporting, developing, and tracking the progress of young people. You will assist mentors in placements to define appropriate roles and responsibilities for interns and identify potential progression opportunities. Regular progression assessments and planning, implementing action plans, and delivering agreed outcomes are key responsibilities. Accurate and up-to-date record keeping in line with programme requirements is essential. You may also support classroom teaching of interns when required, train mentors, and attend awareness and information events, sometimes outside normal working hours. A key focus is supporting interns into positive progression routes such as employment or apprenticeships. You will have direct responsibility for reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Area Manager.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working with young people with learning difficulties or in a similar support role is desirable. Experience in coordinating or supporting workplace learning and employability programmes is advantageous.

About you
You are committed to supporting young people to develop skills and progress positively. You have strong organisational skills to manage placements, track progress, and maintain accurate records. You are able to work collaboratively with mentors, managers, and other stakeholders. Flexibility to attend events outside normal hours and the ability to deliver training are important. You demonstrate a responsible approach to safeguarding and are confident in reporting concerns appropriately.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, social care, or a related field are desirable but not explicitly stated. A positive attitude and commitment to the role are essential.
