About the Role
Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company dedicated to setting the standard for trusted, customer-driven experiences across global racing and sports betting. With over 40 years of heritage and bold innovation, we deliver award-winning content, data, and digital products through brands such as Racing Post, Pickswise, myracing, and Free Super Tips, alongside our international marketing agency ICS-digital and ICS-translate. As a Content Performance Analyst, you will own performance analysis for the Racing Post newsroom, transforming audience and subscription data into actionable insights that drive editorial decisions. Working closely with desk leaders and senior editors, you will analyze what attracts readers, builds engagement habits, and influences subscription acquisition and churn. You will be part of the Data Intelligence Unit for technical support while embedded within the content team, collaborating closely with journalists and editors. Your responsibilities include delivering deep, cross-cutting analysis to shape content and product strategy, developing and maintaining user-level engagement metrics linked to audience personas and subscription lifecycle, and designing tests to support subscriber growth. You will also develop self-serve reporting tools, leverage AI to automate routine analysis, safeguard data quality, and build editorial capability in data literacy. This role requires clear communication of findings to editorial and non-editorial stakeholders and partnership with the Subscriptions Director to align performance analysis with subscription and retention strategies.

- Comfortable setting priorities and working independently within an agreed plan
