About the Role
We help organisations navigate the future of technology, combining human expertise, emerging tech and AI to deliver better outcomes, faster. Since 2014, we’ve worked side-by-side with clients to solve complex challenges, build high-performing teams, and create lasting capability. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain high-performance embedded and real-time software components in C++, including hardware abstraction layers, device drivers, and data acquisition pipelines. You will define and drive technical strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating cross-team dependencies and technical debt while setting the long-term vision for embedded architecture. Acting as a technical bridge, you will synthesise and communicate complex architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders (including Product, Clinical, and Regulatory teams) to ensure alignment on project goals. You will mentor and grow engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, code quality, and professional development within the broader software team. Ensuring software quality through code review, unit and integration testing, and strict adherence to the software development lifecycle under IEC 62304 will be key responsibilities. You will collaborate with electronics and FPGA teams on hardware-software interfaces, supporting hardware bring-up, system integration, and complex debug. Additionally, you will contribute to risk management and design documentation activities, including software hazard analysis and traceability in line with ISO 14971 and CoMind’s QMS. Participation in design reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional technical forums will contribute to maintaining a high-performance engineering culture. AI is fundamental to our culture; you will lead the team in embracing AI tools to innovate and improve engineering efficiency.
