About the Role
This Craft Attendant Jointer role is part of the UK Power Networks team within network operations. Reporting to the Field Staff Supervisor, you will assist jointers working on live 240/415v electrical apparatus, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures and network standards. Your duties will include setting up equipment, preparing work areas, assisting with excavation, and supporting jointers on site. You will also use IT systems such as SAP Work Manager to manage job tasks and undertake risk assessments to ensure safe and timely completion of work. The role includes a system emergency storm response responsibility, requiring adherence to network standards and safety requirements. Successful candidates will be subject to a medical and DBS check.

Experience
Previous cable jointing experience is desirable but not essential. Ability to commute to East London and surrounding areas is required.

Qualifications
Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. Jointing competency with sound knowledge of electrical distribution. Understanding of the Electricity at Work Act and ability to interpret electrical diagrams and maps. New Roads & Streetworks Act (NRSWA) Units 1, 2 and 3 successfully achieved. Trained in Emergency First Aid. Full UK driving licence required. Awareness of network standards and health & safety policies relevant to the role.
