£40,144 per annum plus benefits and a 3% bonus.

About the Role
This role reports to the Field Staff Supervisor and forms part of the UK Power Networks team within Network Operations. As a Craft Attendant Jointer, you will assist jointers working on live 240/415v electrical apparatus, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures and network standards. You will prepare equipment, lay out tools, and support excavation work while liaising with external contractors. The role involves using IT systems such as SAP Work Manager for job management and undertaking risk assessments to support safe and timely job completion. You will also play a key part in emergency storm response activities, adhering to network standards and safety requirements. This position requires successful completion of a medical and DBS check prior to appointment. Experience
Previous cable jointing experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working safely around live electrical equipment is important.

You must be safety conscious with a strong understanding of health and safety policies and network standards. Good judgement and the ability to assess risks effectively are essential. You should be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and external contractors. The ability to commute to East London and surrounding areas is required. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications
Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
Jointing competency with sound knowledge of electrical distribution.
Understanding of the Electricity at Work Act and ability to read electrical diagrams and maps.
New Roads & Streetworks Act (NRSWA) Units 1, 2 and 3 successfully achieved.
Trained in Emergency First Aid.
Awareness of network standards and health and safety policies.
Training will be provided initially at a training centre and on the job.
