About the Role
NALA is building Payments for the Next Billion, creating faster, smarter, and fairer transfers for everyone. Since 2022, the company has grown rapidly, expanding the team from 9 to 150+, raising over $50M from top-tier investors, and earning a place on the Forbes Fintech 50 in 2025 and 2026. NALA operates two core products: a consumer app enabling cheaper, faster, and more reliable cross-border payments from the UK, US, and EU to Africa and Asia, and Rafiki, a B2B payments infrastructure powering global payments for major companies like MoneyGram and Western Union.
As a Creative Designer, you will join the marketing team responsible for turning a fast-moving product into a trusted and talked-about brand. Your mission is to make NALA impossible to ignore across the markets served by delivering compelling visual storytelling and consistent brand presence. You will own the look of all marketing output including website, social media, paid ads, and CRM, creating on-brand campaigns for product launches and adapting creative assets across diverse markets such as Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, and the Philippines.
You will direct video production end-to-end, create illustrations and visual assets, deliver print-ready artwork, and ensure fast turnaround times for all creative requests. Your work will directly contribute to measurable reach, engagement, and growth across 25+ social pages and approximately 20 markets.
Experience
Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience with a strong portfolio including paid ads and branding work. Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI design tools such as Higgsfield and OpenArt. Comfortable creating and editing video content, including AI-assisted video production. Native fluency in social media with a proven ability to analyze viral content and rebuild it effectively.
About you
Proactive and self-driven, able to identify gaps and deliver creative solutions without prompting. Receptive to feedback and able to iterate quickly. Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to translate data into creative decisions. Fast turnaround on small and large projects. Passionate about experimenting with new ideas and formats, with a willingness to take risks and learn publicly. Experience designing for African and Asian audiences is a plus, along with a good sense of humor and cultural nuance in social media content.
Qualifications
Formal qualifications are not specified; however, a strong portfolio and demonstrated creative skills are essential. Success in the role will be measured by increased reach and engagement, consistent brand application, and the delivery of impactful campaigns across multiple markets.
