About the Role
We are Nesta, the UK’s innovation agency for social good. As a Creative Technologist / Creative Full Stack Developer, you will prototype and build digital tools and products that support these innovation missions. You will work independently and within small multidisciplinary teams to rapidly develop and maintain full-stack web applications, functional prototypes, and early stage digital products or MVPs using frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Django/Python.
This role requires a highly collaborative, outcome-focused, and self-driven individual who can translate ideas and briefs into functional prototypes or products quickly, working alongside non-technical colleagues. You will contribute hands-on to software development, deploy and maintain digital products, and continuously improve them. You will also engage in activities beyond programming such as user research, co-design, and project planning. The role involves working closely with Nesta’s practices and the ‘Discovery’ function to identify and develop technological solutions that advance our social innovation goals.
