About the Role
At Fora, we’re reimagining what the workplace can be by creating inspiring, design-led spaces that blend hospitality, community, and wellbeing—enabling people to work productively, creatively, and happily. With over 60 locations across the UK and partnerships with leading brands, we are growing fast and pioneering sustainable, conscious design.
As Credit Control Supervisor, you will take full ownership of collections across a complex, fast-paced customer portfolio—protecting cash, reducing aged debt, and building strong commercial relationships. This hands-on leadership role sits at the heart of our Finance team, combining operational oversight with reporting, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
You will lead and develop a small Credit Control team, own month-end credit control activities and investor reporting, manage escalations and complex accounts, and partner closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Billing, and Legal teams. As automation and AI transform our finance function, you will focus on complex cases, judgement-led decisions, and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively managing overdue balances and protecting cash
- Handling escalations, payment plans, and collection risk
- Preparing detailed debt and collections reporting for investors and leadership
- Managing the credit control cycle, cash allocation, and reconciliation
- Driving process improvements, efficiency, and automation
- Managing risk, compliance, and legal escalations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the Credit Control team to foster accountability and high performance
This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional credit control into insight, automation, and finance transformation while playing a key role in enabling business growth.
Experience
Proven experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable within a fast-paced, high-volume environment such as Retail, Hospitality, Real Estate, or Flexible Workspace is essential. Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or leading Credit Control team members is required. Strong Excel, reporting, and debt analysis skills are necessary; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is a plus. Experience working across multiple stakeholders and managing escalated or complex accounts is expected. Experience in multi-site or property/flexible workspace environments is beneficial.
About you
You are detail-driven but commercially aware, highly organised, and comfortable managing competing priorities. You handle difficult conversations and stakeholder management with confidence. As a people leader, you enjoy coaching and developing others. You are proactive, self-motivated, and able to hit the ground running. You have a strong interest in process improvement, automation, and leveraging technology within Finance. You focus on continuous improvement and smarter ways of working.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in finance, accounting, or credit control are advantageous but not mandatory. A commercial mindset and a commitment to professional development are essential.
